Experience on complex UK projects
Our team has supported domestic clients, national organisations, construction teams and major land projects. These examples show the range of conditions our staff have worked within.

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust
ASM supports asbestos management across the Trust's healthcare estate, including asbestos surveys, planned re-inspections, asbestos-register and statutory-compliance support, and technical or removal support where condition or planned works make intervention necessary. Delivery is planned around occupied clinical environments, access restrictions, infection-control arrangements and continuity of patient services.
Sunderland Strategic Transport Corridor Phase 3
Survey, site-investigation and compliance support where significant buried asbestos from former shipbuilding and demolished buildings was encountered. Work included managing amosite and crocidolite findings, removal where practicable, and controlled retention and capping where supported by the site strategy.
More than 120 schools supported nationally
ASM works with academy trusts and education providers throughout the UK, delivering asbestos management, surveys, programmed re-inspections, sampling and air monitoring. Portfolio experience covers more than 120 schools across areas including Durham, Newcastle, Doncaster, London, North Yorkshire and Peterborough, helping estates teams maintain consistent records and plan work safely across multiple sites.

Former Barrow shipyard and marina land
Remediation support with Redstart North West to address asbestos-impacted soils and help create a safe platform for new housing. The work used controlled picking, managed placement, capping and validation evidence suited to the agreed remediation approach.
Cape Insulation / Turner & Newall works, Washington
Extensive experience associated with the former asbestos-manufacturing location, supporting the identification, assessment and safe management of complex asbestos contamination and industrial legacy conditions.

Battery energy-storage developments
Asbestos and ground-support experience on major battery-storage sites, including a Sheffield development with approximately 150 energy-storage units. Services can include pre-start review, watching brief attendance, sampling, air monitoring, remediation support and validation.
Project descriptions summarise the team's previous delivery experience and do not imply client endorsement. Removal planned around the material and the site
Finding asbestos does not automatically mean that everything must be removed. The appropriate response may be management in place, repair or encapsulation, controlled removal, or a combination of measures.
- Review of surveys, sample results, photographs and proposed works
- Correct classification as non-licensed, NNLW or licensable work
- Work planning, access, waste routes and independent analytical requirements
- Controlled completion with the relevant handover records
