What is the difference between Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys?
A Refurbishment Survey targets a defined alteration; a Demolition Survey investigates the full or partial demolition boundary.
Does soft strip always require a Demolition Survey?
No single label decides the scope. The depth and purpose of the actual work must be assessed.
What happens if an area is inaccessible?
The restriction becomes a hold point. Additional access or suitable presumed-asbestos controls are required before demolition reaches it.
Should asbestos be removed before demolition?
ACMs should be removed so far as reasonably practicable before major demolition except where removal would create a greater risk.
