Is an asbestos survey required before demolition?
For buildings that may contain asbestos, adequate information must be obtained before demolition so risks are identified and asbestos is removed or controlled. A demolition survey is designed for this fully intrusive purpose.
Does the building have to be empty?
Normally yes. Destructive inspection can create hazards and is not suitable for normal occupation. The site should be vacated and made safe, with services and structural risks addressed before attendance.
How much is a demolition asbestos survey in Edinburgh?
